THE ROLE OF HUMAN OF THE STONE AGE IN THE DEATH OF THE MAMMOTH FAUNAL COMPLEX

The article examines the question of the death of the mammoths, as a determinant of the form of mammoth faunal complex, typical of the stone age. The work was developed within the writing of the monograph “The Natural History of the upper reaches of the Seversky Donets” and contains the results of the research changes in the fauna of the region in the Paleolithic period. The authors, having analyzed the historiography, has collected the most current and topical facts of paleontology, zoology, genetics, archaeology, that allowed us to make the reasonable conclusions about the human hunting of the stone age as the main cause of the death of the mammoth fauna.
