In transportation problem the main objective is to
obtain an Initial Basic Feasible Solution for the
transportation problem. The aim of the transportation
problem is to minimize the cost. In this paper, a new
procedure (i.e.) Lowest Even Cost Method(LECM) which is
proposed to find an initial basic feasible solution for the
transportation problem. This method is ex with numerical
examples.
