La integridad académica es un tema de reciente estudio en Latinoamérica. La
literatura especializada ha señalado que, si las Instituciones de Educación Superior no
garantizan acciones integrales para prevenir y sancionar la deshonestidad académica,
seguirán surgiendo efectos indeseables en los ámbitos académicos y científicos. El objetivo
de esta revisión sistemática de la literatura fue identificar la frontera del conocimiento sobre
integridad académica. Se obtuvieron documentos de la base de datos Science Direct y se
realizó un análisis cuanti-cualitativo. El hallazgo más importante fue identificar que faltan
modelos integrales para prevenir y sancionar la deshonestidad académica en la Educación
Superior y el tema no ha sido abordado en el nivel de posgrado. Finalmente, se hace una
propuesta general al respecto.
Abstract
Academic integrity is a subject of recent study in Latin America. The specialized
literature has indicated that, if Higher Education Institutions do not guarantee
comprehensive actions to prevent and punish academic dishonesty, undesirable effects will
continue to arise in academic and scientific fields. The aim of this systematic review of the
literature was to identify the state of the art about academic integrity. Documents were
obtained from the Science Direct database and a quantitative-qualitative analysis was
carried out. The most important finding was to identify missing integral models to prevent
academic dishonesty in Higher Education, as well as the fact that this issue has not been
addressed at the postgraduate level. Finally, a general proposal is made in this regard.
