EVALUATION OF WORKERS’ ERGONOMIC RISK LEVELS CONSIDERING WORKING POSTURES AND PERCEIVED WORKLOAD WITH MULTI-CRITERIA DECISION MAKING APPROACH

In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the ergonomic risk levels by taking into consideration the perceived workload and the working postures of the operators. In this context an integrated multi criteria decision making approach based on CRiteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation (CRITIC) and Multi Attributive Ideal- Real Comparative Analysis (MAIRCA) is proposed. In the frame work of perceived workload main criterion, mental demand, physical demand, effort, performance, temporal demand and frusturation levels are considered. Also, in the context of working posture main criterion, upper arm, lower arm, wrist, neck, trunk and legs’s movements are considred. Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) is used for working posture analysis. NASA Task Load Index is implemented for perceived workload evaluation. The weights of main and sub criteria are computed by CRITIC. Workers who form alternatives’ rankings are obtained by MAIRCA. CRITIC is a method that takes into consideration the differentiation and the degree of relationship between the criteria while determining the importance of the criteria. MAIRCA can model the theoretical and real decision processes by using the alternatives’ probabilities of being selected. The proposed approach is used in the production area where 219 operators work, according to the ergonomic risk levels of the operators in the context of these two main criteria.
