Ficton texts have ther own realty. This realty is very close to the realty of
real life. From tme to time, this proximity has led many authors to think whether
novels can guide real life. In other words, can novels be a map to their readers in any way n their daily lives or will novels serve as a compass for the future of their readers?
Many writers or researchers in world literature sought answers to similar questons.Some authors have tired to answer these questons by writing their fictons accordingly. Ahmed Midhat Efendi is one of the authors who tries to answer these questons in Turkish literature. In his novels and stores, Midhat Efendi replied this question as “Roman can be a guide to real life.” According to Ahmed Midhat, moral values can be taught to young people by leading them to read novels. They can be instructed and educated by novels; in addition, young people can learn many good and bad aspects of life by reading them in a novel before experencing in real life. Thus, they can show more sympathy to the difficulties of real life. In short, according to Ahmed Midhat, novel can be a rehearsal or a guide for life
