Background: The aim of performing Antenatal Care (ANC) regularly is to end preventable maternal mortality. Previous studies consistently show that one of the factors of women’s obedience during pregnancy is the support of their husbands. Aims: This study aimed to analyze factors influencing husbands in supporting their wives in ANC visits in one of the work areas of Public Health Center in Grobogan, Central Java, Indonesia. Settings and Design: A cross-sectional design was employed for this study. 57 husbands were recruited using a simple random sampling technique from a total of 114 husbands whose wife was in the third trimester of pregnancy in July 2019.Methods and Material: Face to face interviews were conducted using pre-designed questionnaires to collect data. Statistical analysis used: Chi-square tests were performed for the bivariate analysis, while the multivariate analysis was performed using multivariate logistic regression. Results: Most of the respondents showed good support for their wives to do ANC visits (79.1%). Factors statistically significant for the husbands to support their wives in ANC visits were husbands’ attitude toward the husbands’ support for wives in ANC visits (x^2=5.278, p=0.028), and health workers' support (x^2=12.380, p=0.000). The most influencing factor was the health workers’ support (OR=7.797).Conclusions: As the health workers' support statistically became the most influencing factor for the hhusbands to support their wives in ANC visits, the health workers need to provide a couple based education about ANC and pregnancy, facilitating an education class for pregnant women’s husbands and providing more information about ANC in health facilities.
