This research was approached in an exploratory and descriptive way because the situation of commercial microenterprises was described, which were subjected to analysis, its main objective was to diagnose the commercial microenterprises of the municipalities of the North of Nayarit, Mexico, that is, knowing the current situation of organizations and the problems that prevent their growth. It was developed with a quantitative approach using the Pyme-Jica methodology. It was concluded that it is important that in micro-enterprises the areas of opportunity and improvement are detected, on the other hand, the area with the greatest problems turned out to be administration and direction, it is also important to comment that the rest of the areas are below of 6 points of qualification which means that its way of operating is informal. Esta investigación tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo, su diseño y tipología fue descriptiva, se utilizó como técnica de recolección de información un cuestionario denominado Pyme-Jica, el cual consta de 50 preguntas con múltiples respuestas las cuales miden cinco áreas, su principal objetivo fue diagnosticar la microempresas de actividad comercial de los municipios del Norte de Nayarit, México, es decir, conocer la situación actual de las organizaciones y los problemas que impiden su crecimiento. Se concluyó que es importante que las áreas de oportunidad y mejora se detecten en las microempresas, por otro lado, el área con mayores problemas fue la administración y dirección, y también es importante comentar que el resto de áreas están por debajo de 6 puntos de calificación lo que significa que su forma de operar es informal.
