Abstract:
In his essay “Différance,” Derrida explains the complexity surrounding the understanding of différance. Stating definitely that différance is not a concept but a possibility, he unpacks his reflections centering on the deliberate misspelling of différance with the letter a instead of e, the writing within writing. This essay maps Derrida’s semantic analysis of différance, the relation between différance and presence and the production of différance.
