The influence of architectural form indicators on high-rise buildings is an important issue in the analysis. Attempts have always been made to design a form for tall buildings that has the highest energy efficiency, so the present study, while calculating the angle of solar radiation in summer and winter and its rotation in the plan and section, obtains the optimal form in such a way that Have the most area facing the sun in winter and the least area facing the sun in summer. The research method is library and analytical-descriptive. To analyze the data, the simulation method is used in the validated software. In order to know the climatic conditions, Climate and Consultant software have been used to analyze the climatic information of Ardabil city and to simulate the parameters affecting the research objectives, DesignBuilder software has been used. In this research, Ardabil city has been selected as the study sample. Winter and summer are considered based on Ardabil sample. Conclusion: By recognizing the indicators of architectural form affecting energy consumption and efficiency in high-rise residential buildings in cold and dry climates, it is possible to determine the amount of energy efficiency from the point of view of physical and environmental indicators.
