The record of repairs of the Houses of the Kingdom of Aragon, a documentary collection produced by the conservation activity developed by the Royal Court of Aragon during the XVIII century, is a valuable source of information about the monumental conservation practices implemented during that period and an example of a particular institutional approach to architectural intervention. Moreover, this record provides many other relevant data, such as those related to the formal and material characteristics of the palace. The analysis of these data, discussed in the article, will be key to any future work of ideal restitution of this building, which was one of the main examples of Spanish civil architecture.
