This paper is an experience report of an intervention project developed by undergraduates
in psychology from Scholar Scholarship Program Initiation to Teaching
(Pibid). The project developed was called "What Makes Your Head? Psychology,
Youth and Graffiti" and aimed contribute to a humane, critical and autonomous formation
of secondary school students in a public school in Goiânia, through reflection
and discussion of topics of psychology as: identity, sexuality, violence and crime,
drugs and labor. To develop the project we used the method of action research and
the theoretical framework of cultural-historical psychology and Freire's concept of
education as well as the contributions of the film “When I feel that I know” (2014) to
consider alternative models of teaching learning. We can point out some of the results:
creating a space for the degree in psychology in the context of basic education;
the thematic proposals were worked, but two themes (drugs and work); effective participation
of students; use of dynamic and dialogued class methodologies; the contributions
of psychological science to human development and critical of the students;
training of undergraduates as teachers of basic education. The project ended with
the realization of a practical workshop, graphite, in which the students registered in
the school walls expressiveness, based on fruit reflections of the discussions raised
during the project.
