Soil compaction is one of the most important factors of anthropogenic influence on soil physical properties with immediate effect over the farms management and environment. The paper presents the results of experimental research carried out with a mobile stand designed and built for testing several types of tyres used on agricultural machinery in order to determine their influence on soil and energy parameters. Parameters measured, footprint, penetration resistance, tensile strength and tyres rational and efficient utilization contribute to reduce soil compaction and settlement.
