Cuban colonial historiography and modernity

The core argument of this article is to show that the Latin American historiography -taking as shown in Cuba, in the colonial time-that was capable of causing, by itself, some of the established historiographical trends and currents in nineteenth century Europe, to the extent that it had to face the problems that Europe is originated; Only to adapt to the circumstances of the American reality. Jose Antonio Saco argues nineteenth itself with the Enlightenment creole historiography of the eighteenth and the "History of slavery".
