The approaches to the organization of extracurricular activities for the formation of knowledge of safe
human living environment of electromagnetic radiation sources are considered. The list of household appliances
that are dangerous when illiterate of their operation was brought. It is noted that the electromagnetic effect
occurs in two areas: thermal and non-thermal. It is indicated that the greatest danger of electromagnetic radiation
poses to children and adolescents. Terms of use of mobile phones have been formulated. Subjects of creative
work carried out in the framework of the elective course "Man and radiation" is shown. List of events
(competition of drawings, design leaflets, presentations, reports, performance of laboratory and research science,
the organization of excursions) during the decade of the natural sciences at the school was proposed
