The "Geographical Studies of Coastal Areas" Journal was proposed by the Department of Geography of the University of Guilan in 2020 with the understanding of the lack of related specialized studies in this field. This Journal has mainly used researchers in the field of human and natural geography and also researchers in the field of sociology and economics due to the interdisciplinary nature of some topics from prestigious universities especially universities located in coastal provinces.
