Albanian Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery (AJTES) that comes out two times a year, is open access, peer-reviewed journal that encompasses all aspects of clinical and basic research related to traumatic and non-traumatic emergency surgery and its allied subjects. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: emergency surgery, acute care surgery, trauma surgery, intensive care, trauma management, and resuscitation.
The journal is the official scientific publication of is the official publication of the Albanian Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ASTES) Tirana, Albania. The language of the journal is English.
Its mission is to open an interdisciplinary forum that allows for the scientific exchange between basic and clinical science related to pathophysiology, diagnostics, and treatment of traumatized patients.
