The Serb Historical Review (SHR) is a scientific publication published by the Historical Association of the Republic of Srpska "Milorad Ekmecic".
Our mission is the development and popularization of historical science, the improvement of critical thinking and especially historiographical research, primarily those of wider national interest, and that includes publishing works that are the fruit of scientific research.
The thematic framework includes political, economic, social history as well as the history of everyday life and the history of historiography. In addition to scientific papers, the Serbian Historical Journal publishes historical sources, reviews, critiques and polemics.
The journal pays special attention to the study of historical processes, phenomena and personalities of crucial importance for the history of Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina / Republika Srpska, from the earliest to modern times, in order to understand these phenomena in the context of wider European and world historical processes, as well as influence of international processes on the socio-historical events of Serbian history.
We are especially proud of the fact that the pages of our journal are wide open to young authors from the country and the region.
The journal publishes original, previously unpublished papers in the field of general and national history, as well as other types of articles as needed. All published papers undergo double blind peer-review. In order to maintain high criteria, we have the practice of anonymity of reviewers whose lists we do not publish, but keep them permanently in the archives of the editorial office.
Article processing fee
